Exteriors Unlimited began operations in 1998 as a division of Stenerson Bros. Lumber Co.  Seeing a need to offer installed sales without competing directly with their contractor base, Stenerson Lumber decided to enter the seamless siding business. Business was built mostly by job referrals, expanding this division to the multiple crew operation that it is today.  Exteriors Unlimited carries a contractor’s license in both Minnesota and North Dakota.  We also hold the newly required EPA Lead Certification, allowing us (as a remodeler) to work on homes and other buildings built before 1978.

Exteriors Unlimited offers many installed products:  seamless steel siding, box steel and vinyl siding, cement-board sidings, and vinyl shakes in countless colors.  We also take care of replacement windows and doors, wallboard insulation, soffit, fascia, and other trim products.  Because we are a division of Stenerson Lumber, we are able to offer many unique products that our competitors are unable to match.  Let our salesman recommend various items and finishes – handling anything from a minor repair or facelift to a complete home overhaul.  With showrooms in Breckenridge, Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Moorhead, and Crosby, we offer a hands-on approach to choosing the perfect products for your home.

Exteriors Unlimited has skillfully done installations in existing homes, new construction, commercial buildings, apartment buildings, and even area churches.  Based out of Detroit Lakes, MN Exteriors Unlimited will travel up to a few hours away from our base to work on your job.  We are available year-round, to suit your schedule.  Exteriors Unlimited is also available for subcontractor employment.

Our manager, Randy Thune, has extensive experience in the construction industry.  He graduated from Northwest Technical College with a degree in Construction Management, obtaining his contractor’s license.  He worked for a local contractor while attending college and shortly after, he started his own construction company.  Years later, he became an integral part of Exteriors Unlimited, his experience soon becoming invaluable to us.
